1951: Boston University swamped American International College in Springfield by the score of 21-1. It is the most goals ever scored by the Terriers in a single game, as well as the largest margin of victory. Jack Garrity scored four goals and added four assists for eight points, tying him for the BU record for points in a game with Gerry Desrosiers [1938], John Chambers [1941] and himself [12 December 1949]. Jack Kelley scored five goals and Keith Barnhill scored three. Barnhill completed his hat trick in a span of 1:24 in the third period, with assists going to Walt Fife and Jerry Denning on all three goals. Overall, the Terriers scored 11 goals in the third period.
